An interrobang () is a punctuation mark created by combining a question mark and an exclamation point. It’s a kind of portmanteau meant to signify a question being asked with excitement. In my piece, I try to translate that kind of question-with-enthusiasm through contrasting material unified by perpetual motion. The piece never loses its energy, it’s only redirected when it’s fragmented and turned inward while its questions are argued out among the instruments in a whirling dance.
