It is done.

Written between October and December of 2012 with edits and revisions happening even up to last night, my fifth string quartet, Outside the Eyes, is officially done. All I have left to do is finish making the parts.

I feel like I’ve given birth. 3 months labor for 8 minutes of music.

I’ll go into the mechanics of the piece on Third Angle’s finalist page over the coming weeks. Needless to say there’s a lot going on between the notes, so I’m looking forward to sharing the piece’s secrets. Some of them, at least.
