Just finished a brand-spankin’-new piece for Orchestra titled Rock Salt in between bouts of sketching my sax quartet.
This piece was written for a competition with Cascadia Composers and the Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra, so hopefully its grooves and groans will warrant a performance. At the very least it’ll be a nice addition to the catalog and a good piece to send off to competitions and other ensembles. A lot happens in just a few minutes.
